Harrier/Viper Fan
I want to do a hase 1/48 F/A-18F but I can only find the Growler kit, can the growler kit be made into a F/A-18F?
Keroburner89
I'm pretty sure it can... In fact a Growler is almost a block 2 F. So replace the wingtip pods with the rails in the kit, ditch the underwing jamming pods and you've got yourself a block 2 super bug ala RAAF... someone else may be able to add some more to this if i've missed something (which I'm sure I have) So happy days :-) Edited March 16, 2015 by Keroburner89
Darren Roberts
Yes you can. It even contains the ECS Bard stacks and the ACS coaming. It amazes me that some Hasegawa kits are getting so hard to find. I'm wondering whats going on with Hasegawa.
graves_09
I've bought a few with this very purpose in mind. Unless you are building an early block F (pre-2006 ish) this is the kit you want. Leave off the wing pods and various other growler antenna, use the dog toothed leading edge flaps, omit the wing fences, and you've got a super.
