scapilot
Recently finished this project on commission for a guy in Tampa Florida. Lot of work to get these trumpeter kits to come online, but a very nice representation when done. Enjoy.
Apollokid
Nice work! Sure is a difficult kit to get together. Only wish they gave us the option of a closed up front fuselage which would make it a whole lot easier.
scapilot
Agree. Definitely a lot of work to button it up if you're not wanting any thing opened up around there.
utley
Awesome! Ive always liked that bounty hunter skin..
scapilot
Agreed. I honestly don't don't know why it doesn't get more attention. In a market over flooded with jolly Rogers markings, I tend to lean towards something a bit different.
Swordsman422
Very nice! Always good to see tomcats in livery other than bones.
rom
impressive! love the mottled weathering.
TOMCAT14
Impressive model, but wrong configuration at the time of use (2003 Operation Iraqi Freedom). 6 Phoenix conf. was very unusual, see on some test beds or special events (80-90's) Regards
scapilot
Hmm, not sure I'd call it "wrong" just for that. It was still plenty capable of carrying said ordnance in 2003 (I loaded eight for a missile shoot in 2004 on the George Washington with VF-143). I built this for a guy in Florida and he requested the six Phoenix configuration so I was happy to oblige.
Don
Very nice ! Love the markings, great finish on the camo. Well done Sir! Regards, Don
TOMCAT14
I don't mean is wrong about what can carry Tomcat, I compare only Machine(markings) and a time of use this Bu. number. Could You write something more about this Loadout for missile shot from 2004 ?
scapilot
I k ow what you meant. Wasn't trying to sound abrasive about it by any means. As far as the missile shoot, we had a shoot exercise while transiting the north Atlantic and had 16 Phoenix to expend between us and VF-11. Configured our birds for phoenix and got to shoot some drones out of the sky. Edited April 12, 2015 by scapilot
