ikar
I must be crazy. I'm starting to work on the 1/350th I.J.N. Mikasa. The last time didn't go so well but I'm doing it again.

ikar
And using the parts from the first kit that still remained intact, getting a new P.E. set, which is a absolute with this one, the build is going along well. But eventually I'm going to have to do the rigging with the masts again. It still amazes me that the cranes for its many boats were kept inside the cables that supported the smoke stacks. Which means that they had to have a way to disconnect them to let the cranes and boats through. I have looked at photos of the Mikasa and still can't figure it out. If I had known about this ship when I was at Kadena, maybe I could have gone to see it if I had the time.
