Thadeus
I'm very impressed with your tempo, especially with so many different subjects. Keep up the great work! I've been wondering for some time now, how does the Hobby Boss F-16 hold up against Hasegawa ones? I mean in fit, details and shape. Cheers!
SARguy
Hi Thadeus, the HB kit is pretty basic. Only good thing is upper fuselage and wings are all one piece. Out of all the kits of the F-16 I have built so far I have found the Revell kits to be the best. Also for me in Canada they are cheaper and more available. re the bugs I do have some decals for a Swiss aircraft and a some Spanish ones so may look at working on these next. I have started the kits and have abandoned the Mister Kit as the fit was so bad, minimal detail and the flash was terrible. So I have decided to use a Tamiya kit instead for the build. will post some progress pics in the next few days. Gordon Edited April 7, 2015 by SARguy
SARguy
Made some progress over the last few days. Main paint colors on but need to do some touch ups. The two on left are the Hobby Boss. The dual is the Hasegawa and the other single is Tamiya Hobby Boss the top two 2 sets of the drop tanks. Still trying to figure out the color of other two Turkish sets of drop tanks. They are a shade of orange. Hobby boss kits Hasegawa and Tamiya
SARguy
Calling these 4 done. decals on two of the Turkish ones fought me all the way and not completely happy with results. Also the color on the drop tanks took a lot of different tries to get the color I was happy with. I have also included some pics with some other tiger schemes I had already finished last year. This brings total of 30 different schemes I have completed in Tiger markings

arnobiz
Beautiful, I especially like the Turkish tails on fire! Which one is the Tamiya? How would you compare it to the others in terms of fit and ease of build? Arnaud
SARguy
Hi Arnaud, this is the Tamiya one (Kit number 60701) The kit is pretty basic after building this one and the Hobby Boss kits. I think I will stick to Hasegawa or Revell kits. where I am I can get the Revell kit at a competitive price and the quality is my opinion is much better Gordon Edited April 19, 2015 by SARguy
