Dotcom Posted March 30, 2015 Share Posted March 30, 2015 Hello all, some images of my latest build, Hobby Boss (former Minicraft mold) F-5E. Built straight from the box, used kit decals. Only the Sidewinders in the kit, while neatly detailed, are wrong variant for Switzerland and thus some spares box rockets were supplied. A nice kit, which takes just minor tweaks. Biggest piece of work are the intakes which are grossly oversize and took considerable sanding to be accurate. Therefore I made resin copies of the fixed intakes before they were attached, as I have another one in the stash. Unfortunately the canopy is not 100% accurate, the aft glass edge should be slanted but in the kit it is straight, this was only noticed after painting and unmasking so I decided to leave it as is.
