Pep this was what I did for 1/32 Corsair tires....Light sanding to get the mold seam off. I never could completely remove it.. I washed them off and set aside to dry for a few hours. Next I sprayed them with a clear flat coat & left to dry. I lightly weathered them with some MiG pigments. The last thing was a coat of pigment sealer. I put them on in the final stages of the build to prevent unnecessary handling. I completed model in late summer 2013 and they are still like the day I completed them... I can't remember exactly but likely I used Testors Flat Lacquer in the square jar. That is my main Flat Coat for a dead flat finish...HTH Brian

I have rubber tires, but have always opted for the plastic ones. You have me thinking about them, because I want to try them on an upcoming kit. I know that the flash is very thin. I wonder if you could cut the flash off as close to the tire as possible, then burn the rest off without catching the rubber tire on fire??? I know is sound kinda crazy, but maybe use a grill lighter and go real easy on it.
