djcook
Here's my latest build. I have been out of the hobby for over 10 years and being that this is the first kit that I have attempted it was more of a test bed for the many techniques that i had lost. I learned a lot during this build and the next one will be even better. Can only go up from here! There are issues but it will make a great desk display. Thanks for looking Edited April 12, 2015 by djcook

VMFA314Knights
That's a comeback done in style, I would say. Nice work, David

Exhausted
Fantastic work. I really like how Tamiya uses raised rivets where they really were. Hobby Boss chose to recess them. Your take on this bird looks spot on.
djcook
Thanks for all the kind words. It has been a along time and it feels good to building again. Like I had mentioned before its got it's issues but I chalk them up as opportunities to learn and make the next one better. Looks great! What blue did you use? Brian, I just went with what the kit called out and that was the Tamyia XF-18 Medium Blue and XF-2 Flat White fixed 3/1. I am thinking that my next build is going to be the Tamiya 1/48 BF109E-4 and for that I am going to use the Vallejo Air RLM colors. Regards Darrin
