Ryan Hothersall
The Mastercraft MiG-21SM built in the markings of the Azerbaijan air force around the time of the conflict with Armenia. Fit was ok, with some filler needed in places. Underside colour is Revell 75 grey. Quite a complex camo scheme this one, comprising of four colours on the upper side. Sand colour I used Revell 17, light green I used Humbrol 78, then Humbrol 9 reddish brown and finally Model Master russian topside green. first two colours were sprayed and the reddish brown and dark green were brushed on. Decals went on without any issues. Used Linden Hill Combat Veteran MiG-21SMs of Azerbaijan. Milt79
Great work Ryan! You build a little faster then I do... :) I haven't done anything since the last photo's... I notice a little difference between the kit you use and the kit I use, namely the blob on the underside between the fin and the back of the main wings. Do you know what that is? I need to do more homework I guess :) Nice accomplishment and a great addition to any MiG collection! cheers, Mark
Ryan Hothersall
That blob is supposed to be the air brake in a closed position. Some kits it is a separate part, but not on this one.

stevehnz
Another beaut Ryan, I really like your builds, they've motivated me to buy up some kits & decals to do similar planes & schemes. They're very much grist to my camo nuts mill. :) Steve.
