k5ikl
My latest completion is the Hasegawa 1/48 A-7E Corsair II of VA-86. Decals are from the Hobby Boss kit and the kit seat was replaced by a Verlinden A-7 seat. Bomb load is from the Hasegawa weapons set. Always wanted to do this scheme ever since I saw it in the movie THE FINAL COUNTDOWN. And that's all folks. :cheers:/>/> Jerry

Scott VMFA (AW)242
Nice build there, I like those markings. I'm wrapping up on the Hobby Boss A-7A and just need to apply the ordnance. To any would be A-7 builders, go with the Hasegawa kit as it is the better model. Scott

Thought I'd go ahead and give it a try since I pilfered the decals. Jerry
balls47
Nice build, really nice build. The A-7, especially the D version, is one of my favorite airplanes. We used to have 3 ANG units here in the Buckeye State that flew the A-7D/K, and we saw them flying around all of the time. One of my best friends retired from the 178FW. Before that, he was in the USN, specifically VA-86. For these reasons, I absolutely love these markings, and you did a great job. I have a couple of sheets for VA-86 for the A-7, and plan on putting them on a 1/48 scale Hasegawa kit.(thanks for the advice, Scott) Your build will hopefully get me fired up to do mine. Again, great job!!!
