new tool 1/1000 romulan bird of prey

Recommended Posts

Will this be released soon? I think it will be perfect next to the 1/650 Enterprise and Klingon D7. :)

....in the correct scale with the 1/1000 TOS Enterprise and TOS Klingon Battlecruiser.

why do you need to put it next to 1/650 kits?

ImHO,

the TOS BOP is much smaller than the Enterprise. In 1/1000 scale the BOP will be about 5" long. The Enterprise is 18"

Perfect.

Supposedly there are 2 classes of the Bird Of Prey. The B'rel is 525 ft long and

has a crew of 12, the K'Vort  is 1050 ft long and has a crew of 36. So in 1/1000

the B'rel is 6.3 inches long and the K'Vort is 12.6 inches long.  HTH---John

The original Enterprise was classified as a heavy cruiser and was a but larger than the nuclear carrier.  I think the original bird of prey would be about equal to a gunboat or escort ship.

FYI TOS Constitution class is a little shorter than a U.S. Carrier. Enterprise (CVN-65) is 1,100ft long while the (NCC-1701) Enterprise was about 940ft long. Aircraft Carriers are crewed at the max of 5,500 sailors and Marines, while the Conny crewed 430. Nacelles make it seem bigger than it really is. The secondary hull is only 30 meters in diameter.
