Emvar
It is so unfortunate that Rick Chin has passed away... These are apart of his line of 'The Major' resin products. I have been fortunate to acquire some of his stuff and this is no exception. This resin CUBIC pod is a must if you plan on building The Canadian BAe Hawk 155 in 1/48th or 1/32nd scale and you will see Hornets carry these also. A big thanks to Jason Chin for hooking me up with these bits. The Package contains One CUBIC pod some wire and a mold to shape the wire in the unique fashion to this pod. Top Pod is 1/32nd scale bottom is 1/48th Close up 1/32nd scale pod Now if only there were some decals for these pods. Some Reference links http://defencemodels.com.au/Projects/ACMI.php http://www.arcforums.com/forums/air/index.php?showtopic=196766&st=360 I do hope someone decides to continue this.... Rambler
Wow, those are awesome!!! Can they obtained anywhere??
Tom
I picked up one of these in 1/32 during the sales after Ricks passing, but I should have purchased a couple of each in both scales. I can remember seeing what looked like nearly a whole box of them in 1/32. They couldn't possibly have all been sold. They are quite nice indeed. tom

Colin K
It would be great for someone to pick up the molds and start producing them again. These are really well done.
skyhawk174
Spoke to the designer tonight who made and cast this line. From speaking with him, he told me that Rick's son still has some stock of the line. Don't have contact info yet but I am trying to get it. I missed out on the CUBIC pod for my 1/32 Hornet so will have to get that. Edited November 10, 2015 by skyhawk174
Colin K
I could see myself needing at least two in 32nd scale, and a couple in 48th as well. Do you think the designer would consider picking up the line at all? Edited November 10, 2015 by Colin K
Lenny
Very cool! I need one for my 1/32 Hawk

Do you think the designer would consider picking up the line at all? Colin we actually briefly spoke about reintroducing the line but since it was really Rick's brain child and line there are some hoops to jump through. Rick's son Jason has no interest in the model side of his dad's business (as far as I have been told) so maybe there is some hope there. The designer still has all the original moulds so that is good. He will be speaking to Jason to see what the future of the product will be. Of course it could no longer have the same name and will have to be called something else. Even though this product existed, it seemed to be very low key. Personally I thought it was great and the moulding was superb. The best thing to me is that it is Canadian and as you know, that stuff is thin on the ground. Hopefully we can get something going in in the near future. Edited November 10, 2015 by skyhawk174
Harold
If I remember correctly the 1/48 scale pod is near dead on in scale, but the 1/32 is way too thick in diameter.
