1/72 TU22M3 Vac form Canopy

Recommended Posts

Yes, that is true. Canopy plus some other goodies should be out this year. When exactly, that's another question.

I've seen the canopy (master, IIRC), so it's not a mere rumour.

Hopefully he'll find this thread and can give you the answer himself. I'd rather not talk about other people's businesses and reveal any industrial secrets. 😀

I'll notify him about this thread in case he hasn't seen it.

Master for a clear resin windscreen (among other bits) is done, it's just a matter of when it enters production. I believe there are some logistical issues at play - co-ordinating a couple of subs for different items - but hopefully all the Backfire bits will be out soon.

I'm as anxious as anyone.

Whats wrong with the canopy??? <_</>

Not really the 'canopy' - but the windscreen....

The bottom edge - where the windscreen meets the rear frame - is horizontal in the kit, whereas it should curve upwards.

I disguised mine by painting the curve, but a better solution is a new windscreen.

Note the bit next to the map resting on the coaming.

You can see what it should look like in this photo I took of a Tu-22M0 in Kiev....
