Pep
Does anyone know how to differentiate the Boxing for academy Su-27 New revised mold from the older one?
nicholassagan
The revised their mold??? For the single seater? I know they re-tooled a little bit for the 30MKK...
Pep
yeah the eduard box had the new mold. plastic wheels, new tub new IP, new seat =) I'm feeling an OOBish flanker but don't want to pillage my Eduard kit =D
nicholassagan
Huh. Learn a new Flanker fact everyday.
dehowie
The original tub was to shallow so hopefully it's better. Have they fixed the nose or canopy? Only minor issues..well canopy is nose is a bit more substantial. Guess it still doesn't fix the 4' they averaged over the full length but it does look like a Flanker. Here's hoping the Trump kits finally surface..or maybe Zvezda in 48th..
Shorty84
Does anyone know how to differentiate the Boxing for academy Su-27 New revised mold from the older one? You can differentiate them by their boxtops (artwork is the same but writing is different): Original Boxing (Su-27 #2131) Upgraded Parts (Su-27 #12270) The upgraded parts are: • new (bigger) cockpit tub • new instrument panel • new ejection seat • new wheels (full plastic with better details) Still incorrect: • clear parts (too narrow) • nosecone (too bulbous, missing the typical double curvature outline) • Exhausts in "closed" position as if the engine is running • Fuselage (lenght) still too short Cheers Markus Edited May 22, 2015 by Shorty84
Flankerman
Someone should point out to them (and others!) that there is no such thing as a 'Su-27B'. It's 'Su-27 Flanker-B'...... Flanker being the ASIG Reporting Name - B being the sub-variant. Nit-pick mode off ...... Ken Edited May 22, 2015 by Flankerman
