skyhawk174
Well I never thought I would see the day that this happened. http://www.cyber-hobby.com/shop/images/modelkits/3558_P.jpg I am happy as even though I have the Italeri kit of the HEMTT it needs work especially the tires so I am hoping it is an all new HEMTT. Been wanting to do the Patriot for a long time but did not want to buy that resin conversion and not even sure if it is still available. So let's hope this is a start of a new HEMTT series so I can look forward to all the different variants on the HEMTT chassis.
HeavyArty
Trumpeter also has one coming out. It will be interesting to see whick is the better kit. Trumpeter's actual plastic looks really nice compared to Dargon's CAD drawings. It looks like Trumpeter will be selling them as separate kits too, so you can just get the tractor or the trailer if you don't need/want both. skyhawk174
What the heck. A race to less profit with two guys doing the same things. The latest Dragon armour issues as well as the Trumpeter releases have been really good based on what I have read so probably have to check out both? What I really disliked about the Italeri release is that there was no engine per say and it is quote exposed on the HEMTT. I actually sourced one from a 1/24 AMT fire truck since it looked really close in shape and size. I also saw that Real Model issued an engine kit. Good times for us modern armour builders anyway. Tank
The fact that it says black label is a KOD.....or at least wait till the reviews come out. The other black label kits have been less then stiller.
HeavyArty
The latest Dragon armour issues...have been really good based on what I have read... I'm not sure what latest issues being really good that you are referring to. Thier Black Label series has been all hosed up. The M103s are out of proportions with the turret being undersized, the rear deck too short, wrong angle on the rear plate, etc., etc., etc.... The M6 is just as bad as is their other latest releases. The general opinion is that they are slipping and letting accuracy go by the wayside. I would definitely wait and see how the actual plastic looks before jumping on it. skyhawk174
Wow, did not know that about the M103. I had read a few reviews on the M48 and they seemed to be pretty good other than the fact that the mantel cover was missing which I think they corrected in a later release. Hmm maybe I should go read the reviews again.
dylan
the black label kits are getting better. the conqueror kit fits together almost perfectly, and they seem to have gotten the shape right. so there is hope that dragon will get it right. I got burned on the M103, so I am definitely waiting for a review before i drop $$ on any more Black Label kits. Edited June 11, 2015 by dylan

Hmm maybe I should go read the reviews again. check out Pawl Vodnik's build on Armorama. He still isn't fond of the results, but did one bang up job correcting the turret as best he could. To say the kit is horrible is putting it mildly! gary

Regarding the Conqueror, suggest that you read the review on PMMS before you think the shape and details are right. I do agree that the fit is good.
Youngtiger1
I saw pic of the Dragon box art few months ago and I was excited to see this finally coming out, but I didn't hear about Trumpy doing one as well. It will be interesting to see which is a better kit :thumbsup:/> Mike

Don
Its such a cool subject and the detailing and diorama possibilities are huge! One of them is on my list of wants but I think I will be patient to see which manufacturer gets the best reviews. Happy modeling! Regards, Don.
Vince Maddux
I got mine on Pre-order with Internet Hobbies. I know its a Dragon Black Label kit and the Trumpeter kit will be light years better, but I still can't wait to get this kit

Prices might be comparable I would think. I don't have any of the newer Dragon kits so maybe this one might be a good one to pick up. I know the recent armour issues by Trumpeter have been very good and I have several of their kits on order. Too bad I cannot say that about their aircraft releases but that is a different post :)/> Edited September 7, 2015 by skyhawk174

The Hemett has full and correct interior and a complete engine. there is also a ton of photo etch for both the truck and trailer. Also Trumpeter will also be doing the radar trailer too. Trumpeter will be selling the Truck as one kit and the two trailers in another. I think they will be around 140 for both kits. Release date is December. Also AFV Club is doing a patriot too!
