midnightprowler
Personally, I'd love to have a TH-55 in 1/35 scale done up in US Army flight school colors. Talk about cool! Tim X2, and a H-
GeejeeZ
A 1:48 H-19/ S-55 would be cool. Could make some airliner versions. And while we're at it, a conversion kit would come in handy: http://www.airport-data.com/aircraft/photo/000581609L.html Edited June 17, 2016 by GeejeeZ
mike_espo
It would be easy for Italeri to upsize their H-19. Why they don't do this is beyond me. Edited June 16, 2016 by mike_espo
jimm33
I added the H-19 to my picks for this year's Finescale Modeler new kit wishlist. Of course, the UH-1H is there too!
yardbird78
I just started a 1/48th Revell H-19 of the VNAF for the Far East Group Build. The wheels and tires are horrible, the engine has some gross deviations from scale, the side windows are way too thick and have too much curve/bulge and the interior is seriously lacking in detail. The fuselage exterior is good and overall, it looks "right".
K5054NZ
X2, and a H-23 +3 for the Osage and +2 for the Raven!
hawkwrench
Oh Kitty Hawk??? Here Kitty, Kitty. We need the Osage and Raven in 1/35 scale. PLEASE!!! Tim
ALEXANDRE REZENDE
Gentlemen, I saw in you a certain interest in the Sikorsky H-19. I worked a 1/48 Revell model of the H-19 (one HO4S-1) of the US Navy in 2008 and recorded the entire assembly. If you are interested, I can open a topic here to show how it was step-by-step. What do you think?

As for Italeri upsizing thier H-19, how long did they take to upsize the H-34? That was out in 1/72nd for ages I believe.

What do you think? I've seen your work. I would love to see such a build retrospective, even though I don't intend to tackle that kit. Watching a master is always educational and a pleasure... Notwithstanding that, I too would dearly love to have a modern H-19 to do a diorama based on photo of a landing on LST-938.

mike_espo
It a shame we have to rely on a 60 year old kit....
