Marcel111
David, hope you stay with this despite the HK announcement. As you know, the longest distance in the known time-space continuum is between a producer's announcement of a new kit and that kit actually becoming available. :cheers:/> Marcel Edited October 11, 2015 by Marcel111
K5054NZ
David, on behalf of all those who are "into" the Spey Phantom, thanks for your noble sacrifice by continuing the build Seriously though, I do hope you continue as this is shaping up as a great model and I'm interested to see what you do next. RiderFan
Thanks, yeah, the HK announcement took a little wind out of the sails, but I also agree that it could be 2 years before they're on the shelves and who knows what the price point will be. I've been plugging away at cleaning up the intakes trunking to try and get it as smooth and seamless as I can. Kind of slow tedious work.
RiderFan
Just a quick update with this as folks have been asking. It's been a bit slow of late, and as I said, the HK announcement sort of deflated the enthusiasm for the build, but I've been puttering at it anyway. Most of the past few day's work has been on the intakes and trying to make them smooth and seamless. Had I not intended these parts to be masters for my own product and had been just doing a personal build from the start, I probably would have started with AM seamless intakes and widened those. It would still have been work to fix the trunking on the inside, but I think easier than trying to do it 100% from scratch.

Marcel111
Wow, that just looks like a ton of work, but very well executed. Marcel
