Having looked at the two kits and what options might be available beforehand, this was the reason I have chosen not to buy the Tamiya kit. When will the AMK F-14A hit store shelves? Isn't this AMK F-14 a 'D'? I hadn't heard that AMK was tooling up the 'A' yet. If so then that's great news! But if not, and you want to build an F-14A anytime within however many months (years?)...then Tamiya's is the only real game in town. But I am looking forward to this 'D'. I passed on the KH kit but boy it sure would have been nice had AMK gone through with theirs. The AMK Kfir kit I built was really nice I can only imagine what an AMK SuE would have looked like... You are correct, the first release by AMK will be a "D." AMK has announced that they have plans to do at least the "A" & "B" as well. They will be released next year sometime, if I am not mistaken. Same here! I've spent so much on modeling stuff just this month alone that I definitely need to rebuild funds before this kit comes out! A summer 2017 release will be even better for me!
