Bol launchers soft details Wing pylons, undersized Phoenix racks, oversized Chinpod, undersized Ejection seats, off shape Fuel probe bay, wrong place. Arresting hook, undersized to skinny GPS dome, to big Ladder oversize TARPS off shape And of course the hips and maybe some other details. In some areas, it's on par with the Hasegawa kit, especially the intake ramp area. F-16 Posted August 23, 2020 Share Posted August 23, 2020 After 4 months of work, here is my build of the AMK 1/48 F-14D Tomcat. I added a few items to the build... Resin wheels. P/E seat belts. Intake covers made from Tamiya tape. A radar assembly from a Hobby Boss Tomcat kit. The fit tolerances were very tight. All matting/gluing surfaces had to be sanded or the parts would not fit. There are lots of small parts that need careful attention when gluing/attaching. I was surprised how well the Hobby Boss radar set parts fit. Just a little white glue to fill in and it worked great! The model was airbrushed using MM Acrylics. I also used "Flory models dark-dirt wash" to highlight the panel lines. The decals where from the kit. Hope you like it!
