You completely missed the point. I'm not trying to say the AMK kit doesn't have issues. I'm countering your point that it's horrible. I built the AMK kit and I didn't have near the issue with the front fuselage to rear fuselage mating area. What does that say? Does that say I'm a better builder than the ones you are referencing? Or maybe I got lucky? I'm not sure why you keep hounding on this and referencing other builders. I don't know them from Adam. They are probably very proficient builders. But that doesn't mean they are the end-all, be-all of modeling. Their's is not the final say. My whole point is that he had issues, but if he were to build it a couple more times, he would find ways to mitigate and overcome the issues. That's where experience of the build comes in. That was my point.

I noted that issue and put a section of sprue to stretch out the fuselage. There is now a tiny join line but the surfaces are level.

3 posts on the forum, 3 on this very topic and already this kind of rhetoric.

This really is a toxic little place full of legends in their own lunch time. I thought I would say a few things based on my experience. Tell you what. I will get on and build things and f you can continue to bicker like old women and vanish up your own arse. Pathetic. GOODBYE and good ridence.

Ouch! See what you guys did? You scared away a brand new member. Shame. :explode:

We really need to put a warning on this thread. Not for the faint of heart, Rated R, or something so people will know what to expect if they enter.

Beware!  Venture within at your own risk! :fight:

From Gulf one to other detachments over the years. Pacific coast carriers such as Independence.

I know good old "Guntrain" (callsign for CV-62) came a callin to Australia for around  Tandem Thrust '97.  Sydney and Perth.  Awesome hosts.

Did a two hour low level over the lower lands of Australia...it was like a ride over a groomed golf course at '500.

Cheers

F-14D was released in October, "couple of months later" have began lately.

In the AMK Time Continuum "couple of months" equals five human years. This gives ICM a shot at jumping into the Tomcat pool.😂

Hi all,

Thanks for hacking me whoever you are and now I have control back, my last post was a post making a quote on the 22nd February in the usual way referring to the poster.

Intersting that the person who hacked me didn't bother to check how I usually post and only gave single sentence answers.
Pathetic. Thanks and I have changed my passwords and recovery emails!

I apologise to whoever was offended by any posts purporting to be from 'me' .

 Sad!

Martin, hello again my friend! I am happy to hear that your businesses are doing well! I am also glad that you attempted to set the record straight, but sadly there are a few here that will only attack you for that effort. If you are attacked for those comments, I think you already know why as you so aptly put it thusly; "I can only assume that there are agendas at play here.."

Do you know anything more about the Annetra Mi-17? Is it still on the way?

Thanks my friend and great to see you healthy and in good spirits despite your numerous detractors.

Rick

Thanks mate 🙂 Much appreciated.
Yes, the Mi-17 is coming. I hope you've seen the latest pics on the AMK page?

I know Terry Chan from Hazmat and what you might not know is that he is ex Chinese Secret Service - or so he told me.

So I would be more than careful what you say about that person or company. IF he is to be believed.

Oh yes, there is a huge amount I could tell that you won't know!

Totally agree but when you are shown ID of someone in a specific uniform it adds to the gravitas.

I can absolutely tell you that Terry is Chinese 'Secret Service'. I no longer care because he has no hold over me.

My guess is that you got larped. Terry's hobby is collecting uniforms. I have pictures of him in a USMC dress uniform and in a fully equipped British SAS camo uniform complete with what appears to be a C8 carbine. It wouldn't surprise me if he has a Chinese Secret Service uniform and badge.

Sio never replied to my PM regarding what really happened to the Bronco project. I'm going to copy/paste the message and PM it to you in hopes that you might supply some answers. TIA

The only thing that I am waiting for here is to see if Zactoman has any further analysis and/or fixes to report. If not, then time to move on.

Sorry I never followed through with the hip fix tutorial. I went through a period where I was busier than ever with Zactomodels orders and didn't have the time. When the orders slowed I decided to add a little more material to the hip top and fix the bladder. I then decided to scribe panel lines in that area only to discover more problems that wouldn't allow for accurate lines. I set it aside out of frustration.

Everybody just stop posting or replying. It'll die peacefully in it's sleep.

I'll make this my last post here (unless something worthy comes about).

If I eventually continue with the hip tutorial and other corrections I will start a new thread.

sorry for bringing that thread back BUT i read every post and the more i read the more i face palm my self for actually reading everything including what

@Zactoman posted by the way im in my second day building my cat and i dont see anything of the things that he mentions so far everything looks feels and fits the way its supposed to fit

by the way AMK kits hate sanding and miss fitting cause they are made with very low tolerance it was the same with MiG-31 its the same here and by the way fallowing the instruction on mig-31 and this kit actually helps and the steps are made with the best step by step in mind so you build what you paid for the fastest way so far one sanding stick a hobby knife and side cutters is what i needed to build the cockpit fully without issues including the ejection seats but the only negative side i see in the kit so far are the decals on the cockpit panels they are made so that there is really no space for mistakes when you cut them from the sheet note i dont use any decal solution if we dont count that i add 2-3 drops of vinegar to 250ml of warm water

sooo yeah i dont see anything even remotely true in this tread even the shape issues that are not even issues and thats looking actual pictures and comparing the model in front of me

here is an example of a picture i look at you can defiantly see the curves of the aft section with removed vertical stabilizer and 100% deflated glove even from this angle look at the whole tail section in this walk around

Please note that the radar antenna shown is for the F-14A and B, not the F-14D.

I assume they posted those images on their page to suggest the A/B is coming out soon. Perhaps. Of course as one can see from this thread...soon is an extremely fluid concept.

Struggling against my straight jacket I manage to get the gag out of my mouth. "It has a fat fool, I'm telling the truth! Why won't anyone listen to me?"

The guards have returned and I am gagged and locked down again. Oh well, I tried to warn you. You will all suffer my wrath when I get out of here. Oh God, here comes that nasty nurse with the syringe. When I get out , you'll see, you'll see, you'll....see.... mmumumph.... ggrgle... :OMG-OMG:
