KursadA
CD32018 will be a 1/35 scale sheet for US Coast Guard HH-65C/D Dolphin; designed for the new Trumpeter kit. Both schemes and multiple Coast Guard stations will be covered, along with full stencilling. Coming in mid September.
2qwik4u
Sweeeeet! I would like to request Traverse City, MI and/or Detroit, MI markings. -Dave
Youngtiger1
Awesome news. I'll be in for couple for sure
SpitfireGuy
I just picked this kit up and it is really pretty nice. They finally got the interior correct or mostly correct anyways. Plenty of room for improvement but should look good out of the box. The decals however are kinda awful.....so I am really looking forward to this sheet. Hoping that we see Air Station Los Angeles as they are not in the pumpkin patch scheme. Also kinda partial to CGAS Kodiak and Galveston. If you are looking for some good medical looking bags for the cabin I grabbed the Black Dog Modern Aussie equipment set and it has a few convincing options as well as some clear resin water bottles that should spruce up the cabin a bit... Can't wait for this sheet. Zach
KursadA
I am working on this sheet and will finish the design soon. The sheet will cover both the standard (overall orange) scheme as well as the white/orange scheme used by the Los Angeles station. Full stencilling for both schemes. I will be able to cover the tail art for only a few stations, but I will try to squeeze in a full set of digits and station names so everyone should be happy. I have the kit. I don't know much about the type other than what I learned during the research stage; but from a decal designer's viewpoint the kit has some annoying issues : some surface features are not in the right places, which could make the decals look inaccurate (even though they are not). I will work around these and provide some guidance for the modeler to correct them if desired.
SpiritZeroThree
What do you need to know about the type? (MH-65D flight mechanic here.)
KursadA
What do you need to know about the type? (MH-65D flight mechanic here.) I have a feeling that this sheet just got ten times better - I will send a PM with some questions tonight.

jgrease
I'd love to see Borinquen station in Puerto Rico - I'm dying to do that in large scale. Any chance for that? John
KursadA
I'd love to see Borinquen station in Puerto Rico - I'm dying to do that in large scale. Any chance for that? I will not provide a specific tail number for a Borinquen example, but as I mentioned I will provide markings for every station name with HH-65s and a full set of digits. As far as I can see, Borinquen based helicopters do not have a specific tail art, so it should be possible to build one using these decals and a few reference photos. SpiritZeroThree
Borinquen has tail art, HITRON got some new tail art within the past few years, Detroit got new tail art in 2012 after having plain tails for 6 years. check your refs guys, the CG 65 fleet is very fluid as to what tails are where, and if any art is carried when they get there. Newer HITRON tail art, other side is their patch. Edited August 20, 2015 by SpiritZeroThree
AnthonyWan
Ok that grim reaper art is bad fool..... One vote for having that on the sheet as an option as well as the HITRON name :P
KursadA
As I mentioned; I will have *every* HH-65 station name (and HITRON) on there. I will provide tail art for the 4 or 5 options that I will document on the instructions though. Edited September 2, 2015 by KursadA

SpiritZeroThree
Hey guys, I've send an email to every flight mech and maintenance dude I know across the 65 fleet to give kursad some good references for tail art, whatever makes it to the sheet rest assured it will be accurate. Edit - here's a current Houston tail. Edited September 3, 2015 by SpiritZeroThree
otis252
Hey, any news on this sheet? Chuck
KursadA
Still working on it. I am also waiting for references on more tail art. Can't do mid-September obviously, but it should be done soon.

otis252
Any news on this sheet? Thanks. Chuck
KursadA
Almost done - please have some patience, and you will hear about its release date soon.
KursadA
I should be able to send this sheet to be printed in about a week or so. I hope none of you have used the kit decals: the kit decals are absolutely worthless from an accuracy point of view. I am not talking about minor spelling mistakes or a dimensional problem here or there: literally everything on the sheet is flat-out wrong, starting with the wrong, anemic typeface they chose for the serial numbers, all the way to the stencilling and the few important markings they forgot. My sheet will correct all of these issues. The kit has its share of shape/accuracy issues, but is generally well designed and should look pretty nice when built with accurate markings. Nick provided me with data on almost all current tail art - I don't think I will be able to provide all of them and stay within my cost/development time budget, but you will get a good selection of tail art. You will still get station names and digits to build any HH-65 from any of the USCG stations that operated them - many of them did not have tail art on them at some point. otis252
Great news, been waiting on this one. Chuck
KursadA
This is the small sheet with extra serials and station names that will be included alongside the main sheet. I finished this a couple days ago, and expect to finish the main sheet within a few days.
AnthonyWan
NICE!! 2 sets for me...
KursadA
Here is the final draft - the 8 options on the sheet are from New Orleans, Houston, San Francisco, Los Angeles, Borinquen, Traverse City, Kodiak and Jacksonville (HITRON). It should be possible to do others using the set of generic names and numbers provided.
