TomcatFanatic123 Posted August 8, 2015 Share Posted August 8, 2015 If I were to build Revell's F-15C completely out of the box (except for a set of Revell Strike Eagle featherless exhausts from the spares bin), what would be the latest timeframe the jet could accurately be portrayed in? Murph Posted August 8, 2015 Share Posted August 8, 2015 (edited) I assume the boxing is a pre-MSIP jet. MSIP jets started entering the inventory in the mid-80s (the first MSIP jet was an FY 85 airframe), but the transition wasn't complete till the early 90s. Correct, the Revell/Monogram kit does not have the MSIP II mods in any boxing. (I'm building one right now and have added the Wolfpak resin MSIP II updates to modernize it) The Academy F-15C kit advertises as having MSIP II in some boxings.
