norbert
Hi WAAF, mosquito pilot, heavy's pilot, in progress, printed here in 1/32 Norbert Edited March 26, 2016 by norbert
11bee
Cool stuff Norbert, I've never seen better looking figures. What's the cylinder on the guy to the right? Never seen that in pics before. Is it a "walk-around" O2 bottle or is it used to inflate his life vest? I like the fact that your figures have different heights (as do real people). Don't see this very often from other manufacturers.
Banana11000
Those are incredible!!
G.R.Morrison
Beautiful work! But mind those warm boots on a Mosquito crewman. Even in very cold weather, shoes would be the norm as the cockpit got hot, being next to those radiators. GRM
Banana11000
Just out of curiosity, do you buy these or make them?

I was told here it depicted a pilot making mission over Norway. I'm not a specialist here, but I can imagine it was more mission related as weather related (or weather related on target are, in case of...) BTW, have to clear how it is close to some swordfish uniform, the battledress may be wrong. Norbert

Don't see this very often from other manufacturers. It is a 02 bottle. There was also another model, more angular, that I found on more pics, was not far to change model. The tube was relatively long, it start at the bottle (right side of it on the picture) then goes up to the buckle, then down to the knee (print failed here, thats why it is a test shot) up again to the shoulder and around the neck up to the inhalator... norbert
1/24 scale We converted partialy some of our figures to 1/24 : RAF WAAF and pilot, and also a Normandie-Niemen pilot that stands in front of a german plane in 45 in the way from the russian front back to Paris... well, it's not a british one... cheers Norbert Edited March 26, 2016 by norbert
Jennings
Absolutely amazing Norbert! Just stupendous. The WAAF and the tall gent look great, but I still think the middle one looks a little 'beefy' for a WWII aircrew member. He looks too old and jowly. The average age of aircrews was like 23. skyhawk174
Norbert I have been afraid to go to your site as I think I will buy everything I see. They look so good :)/> I have a Tamiya Mosquito waiting on my shelf so maybe that British guy looks like a nice companion to it. I thought so too but would a Wing Commander be an older guy?
norbert
When I watch wartime pictures, pilots looks all older as todays 23, probably because of wartime stress. Will try to get my next RAF pilots younger, but beyong the pilots, they were airlines pilots and even WW1 veterans. Just look at the pictures of Douglas Bader, born in 1910...or our french Saint-Exupery, born in 1900... opposed to that, some were not realy 18. Hope to depict all this with the time Norbert
george kemp
Hi Norbert, your work is superb. My admiration knows no bounds. How do I contact you to buy figures. Particularly 1/32 and 1/24 scale?
Cubs2jets
Norbert, I have been continually amazed at the very high detail and quality of your products. Are you 3D scanning real models in appropriate dress or is this all computer generated. If you are 3d scanning, how much additional effort is needed to "clean up" the scans for printing? Thanks for allowing a peek into your work. C2j

With the scan, you have less than 5 % of the work done, there is a huge work on computers afterwards cheers Norbert
