phantom
This is a CF-18 that was lost practicing for an air show back in 2010. The model is the Hasegawa F-18 with a couple parts from the Black Box up date set. Such as the "hell hole" and deck behind the cockpit. The decals are freshly released by Canuck decals. Now, fret not, the pilot did indeed get out nice and safe. Otherwise I would never have made the model like this. Back in 2010 some great photos of this crash were published in "Combat Aircraft " magizine. THAT is what I used as my reference for the build.

RiderFan
Wow.... Great job but, a heck of a diorama. I'm not sure if I should 'LOL' or not, I mean, it's a build you put together almost as fast as the crash happened, and I wonder what the pilot would think!! Fighting Eighty-Four
What a sweet diorama! As someone else said earlier, it is a shame that such a beautiful bird was lost like that, but I am drawn to the significance of that moment you captured, forever frozen in time. Glad to hear the pilot ejected safely! Well done!
