Pep
Can anyone tell if F-16D 87-0378 uses heavy landing gear or light gear? I know its a wide mouth GE block 30 but I cant tell which MLG it uses. Sorry but I can never tell the differences. Edited August 31, 2015 by Pep

loki
Lightweight. You can always tell lightweight because the landing lights are on them. Heavyweight has the landing light on the nose gear door. HTH
kellyF15
They were lightweight when she left Eielson.....
kellyF15
And 366 in the first picture is lightweight with the modded nose gear lights as of 2012-13. I think that was one of the last gear changes I did before I got out
cr7driver
Can you tell what type of gear they had on looking at the wheel hubs? Just a thought considering the pictured jet has the slightly older style thin tyres and hubs. I am open to suggestions.
31Tiger
Lightweight. You can always tell lightweight because the landing lights are on them. Heavyweight has the landing light on the nose gear door. HTH not correct , most users with the light LG have moved them to the nose wheel door.

Yes, the hubs are the typical current style for almost every user of the F-16 with the light weight LG.
habu2
You can always tell lightweight because the landing lights are on them. Heavyweight has the landing light on the nose gear door. You can't go by the light location. THE MLU upgrade also moved the lights without changing the landing gear on F-16AM/BM The lights were moved to the nose gear because the addition of pods on STA 5L & 5R blocked light from the old location. It didn't have anything to do with LWG or HWG.
Netz
Here's a Block Table written by Mike V. it lists the configurations, and references A/C Ser numbers. Curt
