ajd3530
I am going to do the old standby 1/48 Tamiya A6M2-N Rufe. Quite possibly the best 42 year old kit out there. I hope I can be pardoned, because I got too antsy and started 8/31/15 around 11:30PM local time. I couldn't help myself. Edited September 2, 2015 by ajd3530
dnl42
I've had a struggle to choose, but I'm going with the Czech Model 1/48 Grumman Goose I really like this USAAC scheme!
CorsairMan
I'll be joining soon but it might be a few weeks I'm hoping to do a E13A Jake: I got the LSM interior, cowl and engine: I can say that I will definitely be using the cowl and engine but I am 50-50 on the interior. To hedge my bets I picked up a started Myrt and I might graft a lot of that cockpit into the jake while using the floor and other parts of the LSM resin
Ro-Gar Hobbies
I am going to build the Glencoe 1/144 Martin M-130 China Clipper. Model has been in my stash long enough. Robert
dnl42
Ooh, very nice! I missed the opportunity to get one of those, so it will be nice to see that done.
Aaronw
I have a lot of possibilities in the stash, so I've been having a hard time choosing one. I've decided to get things started with a RoG Arado Ar-196. I like the looks of the plane and it is a fairly simple build so shouldn't get me hung up.
vince14
I'm building the 1/32 Hobby Boss Il-2...
dnl42
Alright, a large-scale model of a flying tank! I'm happy to see a ski-equipped build.
GretarBill
I´m going to build Revell 1/118 Martin Mariner. It will be built OOB. Maybe I'll make a rough cockpit with seats. Just so there isn't an emty hole behind the canopy. ;) Best regards Grétar W. G.
dnl42
Welcome aboard! Wow, 118' wingspan and 1/118 scale. Guess they were going for that 1 ft wingspan!
ikar
Has anyone ever seen pictures of the B-50 that used treads instead of wheels?
dnl42
I remember seeing something like that once, but don't recall the aircraft.
dnl42
OK, this piqued my interest and Goggle rewarded me with the hits below. This would be Very Cool!
ikar
Then there's always this:
dnl42
That would be a cool subject! I just saw Hannants has Welsh Models' 1/144 Folson's Air Service C-47C.
dnl42
More subjects are suggested by Caracal Models' 1/72 decals for the Beriev Be-12 "Chaika" and P5M-2 (SP-5B) Marlin
ikar
What about fighters like the Hurricane that were launched by ships in convoys to protect them from enemy aircraft? They were launched by catapults from freighters and ditched at the end of their mission.

They were launched by catapults from freighters and ditched at the end of their mission. I don't know. Were they launched from some special cradle? If that could be depicted, that would fit the intent of the GB. Another example that would fit would be something like this ; a goofball concept tried out by the RN and USN where landing gear were replaced by a reinforced underbelly and the aircraft landed on a rubber deck. Talk about not thinking something through...
