Thadeus
Next on my build list: An Airfix A-4B, such a nice little aircraft :) I've gotten myself Extradecal sheet for an VA-15 bird, and Pavla resin seat, though I don't really know if I'm going to use it. I've never built Airfix A-4, but it looks like it's a very nice kit :) Another build I'm looking forward to :) I' going to have such a blast at this GB :D Thanks for stopping by! Thadeus
This may turn out to be one of my favourite builds of this GB. Fit is excellent, details are crisp. Of course, I didn't read the instructions before I started the assembly. Should've fitted those intake parts before adding the inner intake parts. This means I have some major seams on the intake joints, about 0,7 mm wide. Some sanding is required on the gun fairings. But that's pretty much it. Just in case I've added some putty on the fuselage halves joint. I'll try to replicate the flap down, Airfix gives only separate slats. Thanks for stopping by folks :)
Thadeus
Ooops! Pavla seat will not fit! Not really a big problem, as the kit seat is pretty nice. But it would've looked nice. I attempted to replicate the lowered flaps, as often seen on Skyhawks. I even thought this was always happening, untill I've found a pic of an armed A-4b with flaps in up position. Could've saved me some sanding ;) I've sprayed some paint on... ... and applied some decals. They were awesome :) It looks on the photo like I've left one part unpainted! Gotta check this out. Thanks for stopping by :)
Thadeus
And so my A-4B is complete. Very nice little kit. It's the first time I've managed to take half decent shots with my phone. Only half decent though :( I'll definitely will be building this kit again. Here's the canopy that was damaged. There's no way I can make it better, other than replacing it with vacuformed one. Thanks for stopping by :)
