phantom
Here is a Hasegawa 1/48 CF-18B I made on commission. The customer wanted a two seat Hornet as it appeared at the 2006 Maple Flag exercise with open canopy, ladder down and two blue bombs. I found the photo I was looking for which showed 188915 as still with out the modernization which includes the annoying to scratch build bird slicers. It was also nice and dirty. graves_09
Looks great. What techniques do you use for weathering? Especially the streaking on the wings and under engines.
DougE
Nicely done. Sure makes me want to jump on my CF-18 model, just waiting for a tool to come in. Accidentally purchased the F-18C, so just a change on the tail and I'll be good to go :D Doug

Base colour paint (375 and 237 greys) Then a lighter paint of same colours. Same FS numbers with a little white. Touch up sprays in slightly darker colours. Black powder dusted and brushed into areas I want dirty. More paint to lighten the dust.

Thanks for the comments everyone.
