Ro-Gar Hobbies
The CAD drawings of the P-40B look good, will look forward to looking at the actual plastic to see if they were able to get it right. Robert

Robert As I understand it their 1/72 kit is widely considered the most accurate in any scale. I'm confident Shane (Bo will have a heart attack)
VMA131Marine
Given the extensive access they had to the real aircraft at Duxford, there's really no excuse for them getting wrong. It is good to see that they did new research and didn't just scale up the 1/72 kit, even as good as it is. Edited September 25, 2015 by VMA131Marine
mawz
Don't forget the new B5N1 Kate as well, new sprue covering the differences between it and the recent B5N2.

Otto
Holly Smokes Batman!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I did not expect this. If Airfix continues on their current trend, Most of our prayers are going to be answered and Trumpeter will be out of business. More-More-More!, Houdja-Like-It?, Houdja-Like-It?, More-More-More! Did I just age myself? Edited September 26, 2015 by Otto
jabow
I do think this CG drawing captures the P-40 spinner better than anything I've seen. Make it so in plastic, too! Bo

Are you saying you dont have enough in your stash to keep you busy for the next 11 Months? You must not be normal, or just maybe sick or something. I have enough to last me for the next 11 YEARS. Maybe even for the next 111 years.Last count, around 700 kits (I think) OK maybe I"M the one who is not normal. Nooooooooot. Edited September 27, 2015 by Otto

K5054NZ
I'm definitely getting one of these. I've had a hankering to build the B that used to be based at Duxford and is a Pearl Harbor vet, so now I can forget about buying an Academy one. Bravo Airfix! I'm not a Kate fan but the two models look very, very nice. Great detail and parts count for the price.
Otto
I am planning to build "21" from the Adam & Eves AVG. Boyington's ship. It will look very nice next to Tex Hill's "48" Panda Bares and 267 P-51B Mustang.
F4DPhantomII
Oh I have plenty of aircraft and armor in the stash. Just ask my wife. She says I'll never build them all, she's right!
B-17 guy
Kinda bummed that it looks like it wont have engine detail though.
Jennings
None of the new Airfix stuff has anything but basic cockpit, gear well, etc. I think it's a pretty safe bet that the boys at Eduard are probably working on a V-1710 right now.
K5054NZ
No engine in new Airfix kits? I think you're right.....except for the 1/48 Meteor F.8 , as shown in the P-40 announcement! It even looks to have a maintenance/display stand for the engine. Edited October 7, 2015 by K5054NZ

The V1710 is available. I know I have a few of them. It was available for the p-51A, P-38, and F-82 kits. This was a very underrated engine. It was in many ways better than the Merlin but just lacked a good supercharger. Maybe the Metallurgy was a bit old school. This made it a bit heavy.
