john53
I resurrected this from the "box of doom" and am hoping to finish it before New Years. There's not much more to do then I can mask and paint. It is pretty much OOB, with closed weapons bay, I have no patience nor time to be messing with this.It will be done as an ANG plane from CT, The Flying Yankees. When I lived in New England I was about 1 1/2 hours from Bradlee Airport and loved watching the 118th and walking around the relics at the air museum. I am thinking if all goes well with this possibly doing the Trumpeter 1/48 F-102B in my current states markings, FL, as a last hurrah.---John Edited September 29, 2015 by john53
Gary F
Are the decals from the kit or aftermarket?
Sgt1255
Great start. Always like the Delta Dagger. Ken
john53
I have the intakes on, had to fill and sand them 3 times so far, I love the old Revell-Monogram stuff but the fit is less than stellar. I also opened the hole for the IR seeker so I can't use the kit decals I wanted for the Flying Yankees, CT ANG. So I am going to go aftermarket and get Texas ANG which most had the IR seeker, guess I will do W's plane, LOL. I also am doing it with the canopy up,mainly because I don't like the way Monogram did the framing seperate from the glass and I have a sneaky suspicion the canopy won't line up very good with the windscreen. I think I might have to do one more filling and sanding before I move on to the next step. Intakes inside were painted aluminum, cockpit frame inside will be same as interior, dark gull gray.---John
