Mfezi
Some pictures now appeared on the MOD website of Su-24s arriving in, I think, Chelyabinsk: So far it seems that we have confirmation of 4xSu-34s returning (Voronezh), 4xSu-25s (Krasnodarskii Krai) and 3xSu-24s (Chelyabinsk). Berkut
Are you sure this is N version,no radar on rotor mast, strange camo also, can you comment on this? Looks like prototype camo? Thanks P All Mi-28's produced are Mi-28N's. Well, now there are also production of Mi-28UB (same thing but with dual controls) and soon Mi-28NM. The camo has been around for around two years now, applied to Mi-35M's and Ka-52's too; http://russianplanes.net/id159120
Mfezi
Su-25SMs, Su-34s, Su-24Ms were fly away, but i think now start helicopter time in Syria. I think Ka-52s there too. This does indeed seem to be the case. Beside the pictures of the Mi-28's, there is a picture (of which I couldn't find more detail, unfortunately) on Scalemodels.ru that appears to show a Ka-52 in Syria: http://scalemodels.ru/modules/forum/img_1238710_1458208345_1.jpg.html Janes carried a story in January that said that a "source" told them that Russia was planning to deploy Ka-52 helicopters to Syria: http://www.janes.com/article/57253/russia-to-deploy-ka-52-helicopters-to-syria I've been following what various plane spotters have been writing (very useful, because you can get the serials and bort numbers of basically all the aircraft deployed to Syria from them), but so far not that much info on the Ka-52s and Mi-28s. Berkut
Neither Ka-52 or Mi-28N was previously deployed to Syria. So it isn't surprising there isnt much info out there yet. :) Heck, there are barely any pictures of Mi-35M's in Syria.

It seems like three tone at first because of weapons in metal color.. P

Berkut
So as i suspected they flew original Mi-35M's back and flew in Mi-35M's with President-S. Cool. Lots of new toys there. Su-30SM, Su-35S, Mi-35M with President-S, Mi-28N, Ka-52, Pantsir-S1, S-400...

Su-30SM, Su-35S, Mi-35M with President-S, Mi-28N, Ka-52, Pantsir-S1, S-400... Good opportunity to field test new systems under combat conditions. Why not take advantage of the situation? What is the "President S" system? Can't find anything online. From the pics I assume it's some sort of missile warning system or does it actively jam the missiles like the US DIRCM? Don
No heat dissipators on the large exhausts of those Hinds? The Mi-8 has them but the Hinds don't. Any reason for this?
11bee
Looks like they lost one of their Mi-28N's today. Both crew killed.
