ESzczesniak
This is Hasegawa's 1/200 P-8A Poseidon OOB. A simple build without much to note. Thanks for looking. Comments and criticism welcome.
Trojan Thunder
Nice build, first one I have seen. I assume the weapons bay outlines are a decal? Did all the lumps and bumps come in the kit?
Rich in name only
And were the "humps and bumps" without locater pins--if so how was position indicated? Looks great!
ESzczesniak
Thank you both for the comments. To answer the questions... 1. Yes, the weapons bay is just a decal. I could have considered leaving it off since I doubt you can see the lines very well on the real thing from almost any angle. 2. The lumps and bumps came with the kit. 3. Almost every bump/antenna had a locating whole that was drilled inside-out in the fuselage prior to joining the halves. If I remember correctly, The off center forward top antennas (4 total, 2 each side) may not have had the holes, but all others did.
SERNAK
On the whole, a very nice build, though I wonder why Hasegawa have chosen to make this aircraft in 1/200? I think it would have been more interesting (for us modelers) if it was made in 1/144 like for example, the Revell C-17.
ShawnV.
Very nice. No muss, no fuss.

I think it would have been more interesting (for us modelers) if it was made in 1/144 like for example, the Revell C-17. Because they already had the 737 molded in 1/200, and nearly all of their airliner kits are in that scale. The KC-10 conversion from the DC-10 kit is another example. Very nice build. May have to pick one up myself...
Jennings
Hasegawa has a very long (35 year) history of doing airliners in 1/200. AFAIK they've only done two 1/144 airliner kits, the YS-11 and the EMB-175. They re-box them mercilessly with every possible airline scheme known to man.
