gonzalo
Hello Everyone, I am building a 1/48 Academy Su-30. I would like to build a canard Su-30 in the Blizzard CAMO. Does anyone make masks for this? I know there are masks for F-16 and F-15 aggressor. If anyone knows if someone makes these masks please let me know so I can get a set. Thanks, Gonzalo
Berkut
Blizzard camo? Post a picture, otherwise it is hard to help.
Shorty84
I'm not sure which camo you are looking for but there is a company named J's Work which do some masks for the Su-27 in 1/48. Maybe they have what you're looking for.
Pep
I believe this is the one he is referring to.
Flankerman
Gonzalo, you do know that it requires some major conversion work to make that subject from the Academy Su-30 kit? Forgive me if you already knew. Ken
Pep
Ken, Besides canards, vectoring exhausts and tails what other external changes?
Flankerman
That's it really - fairly simple. :whistle:/> Su-27UB fins with wider chord rudders, canards and TVC nozzles. That particular photo of a Sukhoi-owned development airframe shows 04 in its 'Malaysian' Su-30MKM configuration - with MAWS turrets on the spine and under the nose... .... and laser-warning sensors on the forward fuselage undersides..... .... and on the intakes..... My 1/72 scale build..... is here. Happy Flankering. Ken Oooops - nearly forgot - it also has some 'Bird Slicer' IFF antenna in front of the windscreen.... PS - The above applies to the Malaysian Su-30MKM only, the Indian MKI and Algerian MKA are slightly different.
gonzalo
Ken Great stuff! I was going to use your 1/72 build as a reference. I just wish there were books available like The Modern Guides sold by Jake for Russian aircraft
