boom175
From the AMK Facebook page!! **Announcement** Kit release schedule for 2016 - Part 1 With some recent rumour and speculation on various forums we are pleased to announce our kit release for 2016. One thing before I post the kits. We also have three other kits in research that have not yet made the list. These may slot in-between the kits below or at the end. As soon as the schedule is set in stone then we will make another announcement. 1/48 F-14 Tomcat Family (A, B and D) 1/48 G-91 Gina 1/48 L-39 Albatros 1/48 MiG-25 Foxbat Remember: Detail, engineering and Accuracy are of paramount importance to us. If we think a kit can be improved then it won't be let out of the door and we will drop down the release schedule until such a point that we are happy with it. This is just PART 1! Watch this space and help us to get the word out by sharing this announcement. The more people that know the more likely your local distributors are to buy them in locally for you. We hold you all in the highest regard as you know so we hope this meets your approval. :yahoo: :yahoo: Thank you AMK!! I sincerely apprciate you guys listening to us modelers! Fighting Eighty-Four
Ah man, we have to wait 90 years for the new AMK releases? Haha, J/K man... I am pumped to see the MiG-25 on there! Looks like I will have to save my pennies for the MiG-31 this year, a MiG-25 next year, and like a half dozen F-14s next year!

mingwin
so it seems that while we where thinking AMK show us all, because they where very communicative in the 1/48 MiG-31 project development process... it seems that, like magicians they where just keeping us focused on the ball...while doing other projects in silence... if they really put out as much stuff they announce, just in the "part-1" i'd be amazed... and broke!(not because of the prices...but more of the quantity...) because all the announced subjects where in my prospected future build projects... Jennings
Umm...A Mig-25!! This is my favourite Cold War Soviet jet! Thank You AMK!! That promises to be much more MiG-25 shaped than the competition... :)
peter burns
The news of a new MiG-25 is fantastic. Man did Kitty Hawk dry bone that one.
ChesshireCat
well I see two F14a's, a Mig25, and maybe two L39's in my future. An F100 family would add another four to the stack. Still an A26 would but me in orbit. gary

Jennings
How about the interceptors AND the recce versions (rather than a mish-mash like the other one on the market)??

Jennings
It's amazing how little there is in common between the interceptors and the recce and bomber versions. The main part of the fuselage structure, the intakes, the vertical and horizontal fins, and the landing gear is about it.
Nightfighter
Hurray a new Mig 25. Great news.
madmanrick
What I hope comes out of all this is not only some great, accurate and sensibly priced kits. But, I am also hopeful that this business model will put pressure on other manufacturers to follow suit. However, if AMK sticks to their guns, even if other manufacturers continue to put out fancy dogs in pretty boxes, eventually those unresponsive companies will go the way of Renwal, Frog and Aurora. The power of the wallet can be a humbling experience. AMK, good on ya...I look forward to part two of your 2016 release schedule! I am placing an order for my first kit of yours, the Fouga Magister at this very moment. Keep it up and you will inspire a very loyal customer. Rick

dryguy
I have never been a Fouga magister fan, but will have to buy it as well as their Kfir just to support them. I never thought I would develop brand loyalty with scale models, but I sense it coming on fast. AMK, you are angels. I wish you the utmost success.
