A mig 21 has a very different wing. Far more triangular.

I guess let's consider the F-7 and the J-7 to generally be the same things. IIRC, the early J-7s have MiG-21 wings, after the F-7G, or so, it seems you get the wing extensions.

Yep! It is indeed a Chengdu F-7NM from the Namibian Air Force. Rarely seen in public, one was performing at the first ever Namibian Air Display alongside their K-8 Karakorums.

I love these pictures. The Africa GB had some interesting subjects along these lines. I plan on getting Trumpeter's J-7G so I can do something like this. Also, look at the positioning of the aoa sensor and pitot (?) tube, it seems to change based on variant. Does anybody know the reason for moving it from bottom to top between the MiG and Chengdu models?
