Recommended Posts

I'm Vers happy that you heard my request and included a VXE-6 scheme and the SC/HC-54. :woot.gif:

Great to have a producer like you who takes care of the customers wishes!

I have received some e-mails about the reference Web pages from many of you who received your sheets. The top/bottom views in the instruction sheet were a bit small, and the instructions state that you could find larger versions at the reference site.

I will start posting larger PDF versions of top/bottom views at the reference site on June 25, after I finish shipping the huge pile of RAAF Mirage orders I received from Australia.

Sold out. I sold out every single copy of CD72045 I have. Resellers like Sprue Bros and Hannants will soon get their shipments, and you will be able to buy from them.

Thanks for your interest in this sheet. I have now sold out every copy of the both C-54 sheets I released. The third sheet (Thunderbirds C-54) is being printed, and will be coming later in July.

My copy of part 2 arrived from Hannants today. It is number 7 on Hannants list of top selling items of the last week!

Now I have to get myself a C-54 kit.....

A 1/144 scale C-54 sheet will be announced soon - mostly operational aircraft from 72045 but perhaps a couple from other sheets as well.

I will be reprinting CD72045 sometime during 2025.

Hallelujah!

A 1/144 C-54 sheet will be awesome!  The Minicraft DC-4/C-54 is a really nice kit-   Might I suggest this All Weather Flying Center C-54 as a new option?

Those are some non-standard looking props. I have seen them DC-4s but not C-54s. Weather, icing related?

As far as I know, no C-119 wore AWFC colors.  The profile you mention does not represent an actual aircraft, at least operated at Clinton County AFB.  The unit did, however, fly a C-82, C-46E, and numerous C-47 aircraft while based there.  Now its possible that the All Weather Flying Division, when moved back to Wright Field in 1948, may have operated that aircraft in those colors- though I have no documented proof.

Awesome, thank you! Guess that's why I couldn't find much. I did find this interesting story. https://aero-web.org/specs/fairchil/c-119j.htm
