ScaleWorx
Hi guys, Thought I'd post this here. I started converting/chopping 2 x Cessna 208A Caravans into a 208B Grand Van. Did the lengthening of the fuselage, cabin floor panel and cargo pannier. The windows will be tricky to modify. Still a long way to go... Comments welcome, as this will be masters for a production kit. A comparison of the fuselage halves before and after lengthening. Cheers, John

ScaleWorx
Jennings, that sounds a hell of a lot better than sitting in traffic :D/> Grand Caravan progress. Those little fairings in front of the wing mount were a bit tricky... Cheers, John
ScaleWorx
Hi guys, Here's an update on the Cessna 208b/AC-208b. The main landing gear legs will now be cast in a very strong black resin. So, no more metal ones to outsource for production. Busy cleaning and modifying 2 Hellfire missiles. Also filling unwanted panel lines and some of the side windows still have to be closed off and new ones cut. There is also the decal sheet for the Iraqi Air Force. Fortunately there are many parts common to the 208a, making things easier [:)/>/>] Cheers, John
ScaleWorx
Hi guys, it's been a long time since I worked on the Cessna 208b and AC208b, but it's finally done. Here's the masters: The test assembled 208b: And the test assembled AC-208b Combat Caravan: Cheers, John Edited July 22, 2017 by ScaleWorx
Kingoalie
Nice stuff! I really like seeing more 72nd general aviation subjects. What are you going to do for the windows? Will those be vac or clear resin?
ScaleWorx
Thanks, glad you like it. The windshield will be vac-form, and I've had great results with Microscale Kristal Clear for the side windows.
Steven H. McLain
Looks great. I would love to see more civil airplanes and helicopters in 1/48 scale.
