salvador001
Hi everyone, as you all know, im a huge fan of Hueys, so i will start this two Hueys. Both will be from El Salvador AF during the 1980s war. The kits ill be using are the Italeri UH-1D Slick n.849 with Eduard PE, CMK resin interior, Fireball Modelworks ASE and a lot of scratchbuild. First bird will be in empty slick configuration with no seats and armed with the M60s, when finished ill start the other one in a medevac configuration. Hope you like em. Thanks all for your support. Rod. Edited April 28, 2016 by salvador001

hawkwrench
Nice work on the Huey! How did you make the spring on the back of the seat? That looks cool. Tim
UH-1Mad
Beautiful work. Yes I agree with hawkwrench - those seats look amazing. Chris B.
salvador001
Thank you guys. For the seats springs, i used thin wire from a coaxial cable, then i wrapped around a needle and then the spring was created. Rod.
AndrewPerren
Brilliant stuff Rod. I like your interior work so far. Did you make a frame for the chin windows from styrene?
salvador001
Thanks Andy. Yup, the chin frames are made with thin styrene sheet. I glued the clear part first, then sanded the edges cause they dont fit well, and then i glued the frame. I ended up polishing it with tamiya compound and sealed it with future. Rod.
