ST0RM
A friend in the office brought in this pic of his Grandfather's unit. Its the 7th Bomb Group in 1928, Rockwell Field Ca. I've been trying to ID the aircraft, but keep coming up short. I initially thought it was a DeHavilland, but the radiator is wrong. Can someone assist? Thanks, Jeff
herbarnold99
Wow, that's an unusual one. Looking at 7BG info on the web suggests it would maybe have been a liaison type to the unit at that time? Not part of the regular complement of bombers of that year, for sure. Drifterdon
Looks similar to the Douglas M-2 or M-3 mailplane but wingspan looks too short as well as overall shape of lower radiator. Curious...

Jennings
I'm pretty sure the second picture in your OP is a KC-135 :)
ST0RM
Thank you Kevin! You've solved the mystery for Mike. And yes Jennings, you got the -135 correct. -Jeff
