Petarvu
Why you sold my preodered MiG-31 kit? Holiday season makes things even worse, if we choose to pay for something in advance you shouldn't have sold our trust this cheap. And my MiG-31 was waiting for release of YOUR new Kinetic SUE kit I bought together with it (when it went from 'full reserve' to 'pending'). Bought without waiting to check online for SUE box content trusting Kinetic as a brand. What a let down. P Edited December 10, 2015 by Petarvu
nicholassagan
Huh? What exactly is your complaint? Pending just means it's being processed. Edited December 10, 2015 by nicholassagan

No, it means they sold out my reserved kit while waiting for SUE. MiG-31 is on backorder on LM now and I will have to wait for second production batch.. Cyrus Tan
I pre-ordered the SU-33 from LM but not the Mig-31. My guess is LM/Kinetic wants to fill distributors orders first. That being said I'll probably order the Mig-31 from the local distributor. Just my 2 cents
Jennings
I wouldn't get my knickers too twisted about it if I were you. For one, I sincerely believe there is something lost in translation with all the words such as "preordered" and "pending" and such. Raymond/Lucky has a very good reputation, and they have no reason to try to scheister people on kits. I strongly suspect the MiG-31 was wildly more popular than anyone remotely suspected it would be. AMK is a small company with limited resources to put kits out (they own all of their own production facilities, unlike most companies). For another, there's really nothing you can do about it at this point. It's not worth getting that upset about. I'd be willing to bet you have a lot of other kits in your stash like the rest of us :) I predict you will get your kit pretty quickly!

MoFo
Huh? What exactly is your complaint? Pending just means it's being processed. Petar had pre-ordered both the MiG-31 and Kinetic's SuE. He has already paid for the kits. LM received their shipment of kits. Petar's order status for the AMK Foxhounds then changed to "FULL RESERVED - WAITING OTHER ITEM ARRIVAL" In other words, LM had the kits in stock, and available to fill the order. He seemingly had a kit reserved, and once the SuE came in stock, the full order could be shipped. ~~SEVERAL DAYS LATER~~ The status for his MiG-31 changed to "PENDING". LM did not actually place his MiG-31 on hold, and so the kit that had formerly been reserved per his pre-order has been sold to another customer. LM no longer have the kit in-stock, and are waiting for AMK to complete another production run before they will have more. ~~SEVERAL MORE DAYS LATER~~ Kinetic's SuE has been released, so LM now have the kit available for sale. IF LM HAD ACTUALLY PLACED HIS FOXHOUND ON SALE, THEY WOULD BE ABLE TO FILL HIS ORDER. But they didn't. Instead, Petar has to wait until LM get more MiG-31s before they will ship his order. And hope that they don't sell through their initial batch of SuEs, or else he'll be in the same situation - they'll have the MiG-31 in stock, but not the Etendard, so he'll have to wait (even longer) for them to get THAT kit back in stock. TL;DR: Peter bought and paid for the kit. Lucky Model has already taken his money. But rather than put a kit on hold for him, LM sold it to someone else instead. Now he has to wait until LM have the kit back in stock which, given the season, likely won't be until next year. Imagine you are at a lemonade stand. You give the children some money for some lemonade. You would also like some ice, but they don't have any. One of the kids goes into their house to get some more ice, and while they are gone, they sell the rest of their lemonade to other customers. The other child returns with the ice, but there is no lemonade left for you. Instead, you've got to wait for their mom to come back from the grocery store with more lemons before you can get your drink. And in the mean time, the ice might melt. That's basically what LM did. ---- The solution to this: cancel your Lucky Model Foxhound order and buy it elsewhere. Because, seriously, f- that noise.
Jennings
Okay. So cancel the order and get your money back. Whinging about it here isn't going to change the facts of the matter.
Bob Rock
It is pretty much SOP for Luckymodel, the same thing happened to me a while ago and I wasn't very happy about it, so I cancelled my order and quietly decided to boycott them from that time on. One thing's for sure, there's plenty of other places where I can spend my modeling budget. Cheers, Miro.
White Wolf
I'd like to think that there's some kind of misunderstanding underneath all this, like the ambiguous wording of the item status not telling the full picture. I haven't preordered a kit at LM before, but if it really turns out that LM's staff did as MoFo described then it's very disappointing and I shall think twice before doing so. Red14
I pre-ordered the Su-33.. do you guys think I should cancel my order? (come to think of it, AMK is their competition and perhaps they didn't want to order too many kits.. not expecting that it would sell so well)
MoFo
If the only kit you ordered was the Su-33, you should be fine. Lucky Model essentially IS Kinetic, so presumably they shouldn't have any inventory issues. If you ordered a bunch of stuff and the Su-33 was among them... and if those other items are likely to sell out before the Su-33 comes in stock? That's riskier, apparently. jwest21
What is the "Kinetic SUE"? Is that the Su-33? Is that even out yet?

It's not, it's SOP i believe. Had it happen to me twice. And on another occasion the item was in stock when I checked outand paid but somehow become out of stock when I received the shipment. And its still on backorder after 2 mths now. So I don't intent to order from them unless its not available elsewhere and they have lots of stock.
MoFo
What is the "Kinetic SUE"? Super Etendard. Just released this week. The Flanker should be out in a couple of weeks, apparently.
Raymond Chung
Dear All, First of all, I am sorry for the case on the supply of the AMK MIG-31. I checked with the log file, the problem came from a mis-communication between our purchasing and distributor of AMK in HK (we are not obtaining goods directly from AMK). We got the first batch of goods and we notice that we are overbooked, so we immediately sending restocking order to the distributor which confirm the delivery is ok. In order to catch the postal deadline, we have executed the logic to release all pending order first once we have the confirmed message from the distributor that the supply will happen in few days. However, the final status from the distributor saying that we can only resupply 10% of what we need in the first place. According to the distributor, the restock should happen in a week, I understand this is X'mas time, for anyone who ordered the MIG-31 and we cannot meet the delivery date before, we will offer ONE FREE SU-33 as a compensation or you can ask for full refund. As for Petarvu, I have returned one pc of the kit from the sample room to your order and sending the item in EMS, so, you will get the SuE and MIG-31 before 24 Dec. Hope you can understand that. For those brand who does not handle by us directly, the trouble occurs frequently, therefore, if you notice, we drop off some brand which the supply is not stable and we don't want to disappointed our clients In view of this, we will start to stop order for All AMK pre-order from now in order to avoid further trouble for you. Raymond Chung
I don't have a horse in this race but how do you know your order was placed BEFORE the distributor's orders? We have a pending order list here right now. So, we will record each customer order# and add the additional kit once the SU-33 arrive.
