Spectre711
I thought this was a stash for auction but it turns out it is a Museum trying to clear some things out and raise some cash. 2,500 kits is a lot of kits! http://www.ebay.com/itm/191757271166?ru=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.ebay.com%2Fsch%2Fi.html%3F_from%3DR40%26_sacat%3D0%26_nkw%3D191757271166%26_rdc%3D1 191757271166 Edited December 16, 2015 by SBARC

fulcrum1
Why does a museum have unbuilt kits?
Bigasshammm
Why does a museum have unbuilt kits? Probably phasing out selling kits from their store. Or people have donated them to the museum and they have no need for them.
fulcrum1
Makes sense an estate would donate them.
Spectre711
This isn't very far from me but even at the current bid price it's way out of my budget. Its still holding steady though at about $2 a kit.
SERNAK
2,500 kits is a lot of kits! Now, I'm depressed!! I only have 120 in my stash
ajd3530
Well that escalated quickly. Edited December 17, 2015 by ajd3530
Raceaddict
Winning bid: US $9,685.00 Still under $4/kit.
Spectre711
I really thought they would have got more. Some of those kits are rather pricey.
SBARC
I'm assuming the buyer will pick what he likes then fill up his vendor table for a few years selling thew rest for a handsome profit.
skyhawk174
I recently spoke to a guy who sells on ebay and he bought a collection of 3000 kits from a widow. She was happy to get rid of them at $1500. He had to go pick them up and transport them back to his warehouse. Took him 3 trips and he bought what she had so he got what was in the boxes missing parts and all. When I am gone my wife can do what the heck she wants with the stuff :)
SERNAK
When I am gone my wife can do what the heck she wants with the stuff :)/> How about "donating" some of your kits to us the less-fortunate lads? (I only have 120!)

When you consider the time element and possibly the aggravation element, I doubt it would be handsome.
