1/32 Tamiya F-16C 181st. FW.

Recommended Posts

Hi guys, Finished this one up not too long ago!

Built off the Blk 50 kit with an added NSI intake from the 32nd scale T-Bird kit, to get a smallmouth Blk 30.

GBU-12's, TER's, and the LITENING pod were leftover from an Academy F-16I Sufa kit.

Decals were a mix of Afterburner "For the data" and FoxOne for the tail and nose art.

Painted with Mr. Color paints

Apologies for the lousy photos, My photography skills aren't very good...Lol

Yessir, Great looking Viper, my favorite airplane, of course. Years ago, I saw a 181st F-16 parked in the pile of F-16's in Springfield. The intake was very noticeable when they were side by side. The 181st jet had the old, old colored "Racers" markings. Springfield stole a great pilot from the 181st, "Chili" Davis. It's always a treat to see your Vipers. It's too bad that so many of the units with such rich history have gone away because of B.R.A.C. I'll give you a call one of these days. Take care and be safe. Tim
