Gray Posted December 26, 2015 Share Posted December 26, 2015 The Lockheed F-80 Shooting Star was the first jet fighter used operationally by the U.S. Airforce. Designed and built by Lockheed in 1943 and ready for service at the end of WWII. The F80 saw extensive combat in Korea.
