U.S. Army UH-72A Lakota Medevac WIP

Recommended Posts

Hi guys, this is my UH-72A Medevac build.

I will make a UH-72A in Medevac configuration using the 1/32 Revell EC-145 DRF Luftrettung kit, Werner Wings Medevac conversion, Renaissance EC-145 detail set and Fireball Modelworks Lakota decals. Still thinking which i will make, i think the Flat Iron one is my favourite.

Heres how its going. Hope to continue working on it as soon as i get the photoetch.

Thank you all for your suppport!

Rod.

Thank you my friend. Yup, i must hurry, this builds will last all year lol.

Im in between the Flat Iron one and the DC NG medevac, but as you mention that, i think i will go with the DC NG one.

Yes i would like those pics, will be a great help.

P.S. the hueys are in progress too, dont you think they will be forgotten.

Thanks.

Rod.

Hi Rod

Nice to see this one in the move

Be aware that this kit has a fit issue with the big windshield piece. First thing you have to do is to adapt the fuselage to the windshield. Then you can progress with that behind you.

Hi guys.

Heres an update. Im almost finishing the tail section, i scratchbuild the antennas mounts below the tailboom and the antennas itself. I Just need to add the two white antennas near the rotor 90 gearbox, nav lights, and obvious the rotor itself and finally seal it with a flat coat.

Painted with MM Acryl U.S. Army Helo Drab lightened a little with light gray.

And ive been working with other parts of the model as well.

Feel free to ask any question.

Hope u like it.

Thanks.

Well guys, i just finished the tail boom.

Some parts were scratchbuilt like the antennas and some detailing work was done on the tail rotor system. The rest was photoetch and resin from the renaissance set.

Hope everyone likes it.

Hi guys,

Heres some work ive done to the interior, pretty basic using the kit parts and the renaissance photoetch. Only thing i made scratch were the console switches, i only need to add the werner wings medevac stuff and its ready.

Ive finished the main rotor too. All paints are all mix cause i dont have the precise color of all the parts.

Feel free to ask any question.

Thanks you all!

Rod.
