1/48 Hasegawa F/A-18A VFMA-451

Recommended Posts

I finally got around to finishing this kit. I had it mostly build about 10 years ago, but lost interest and put it back in the box. I recently decided to move from enamel to acrylic paints and purchased the Ammo by Mig Jimenez set of paints and weathering products.

This is the Hasegawa F/A-18A kit with the following:

black box cockpit

MAW intake covers

Flying Leatherneck decals

Eduard Brassin Aim-9M

Tamiya AGM-88s

Ammo Paints, panel washes, and pigments

Thanks for looking and critiques are welcome!

Top Notch Hornet you have here...Nice to see an old school A-model built up.

Cheers

Collin

thanks, Collin! It's weird how the weathering doesn't show up in the photos. I guess my lighting was off. I think it looks a bit overdone on the model, but the pics hardly show it.
