jetplane
Hi, Just started my Bandai Millennium Falcon after watching the latest Star Wars-The Force Awakens. Firstly begin work by thinning down the cockpit frames.. Painting the Cockpit. :rolleyes:/>/>/> The model at 1/144 scale..its very small! Since its a snap fit kit and very precise..no glue is require... Work continues... :unsure:/> bye for now! Jetplane..

jetplane
Thanks Guys, The Bandai kit of the Millennium Falcon in fact is the best and movie accurate model for now... I've bought few of this kit..so different versions can be modelled later... :woot.gif:/> Cheers, Jetplane Edited January 10, 2016 by jetplane
jetplane
A little update on progress here..Painted the saucer hulls in basic colors. The Studio Millennium Falcon has various shades of colors mixes..white..grays..brown..etc. I've tried to replicate the studio closely. Next step is to tone the panel colors and add weathering effects..... Until then..cheers..
crowe-t
Nice hull color George! Keep the pictures coming!!!
jetplane
Weathering progress..slow work....bit of Hull section at a time. Decaling goes later after panel weathering...
jetplane
Lower rear left Hull.....more later.
jetplane
Weathering done on hull bottom... Decals detailing once upper hull is finished. Getting closer... :rolleyes:/> Edited April 2, 2016 by jetplane
Jay Chladek
This bad boy is like a Faberge Egg! The details Bandai molded into this thing would STILL look in scale if they did them in 1/72. The work you are doing with it also looks incredible!
jetplane
Thanks Jay, The weathered color on the first pass looks too dark and showed up in photography, so I toned them down a bit light. The markings detailing with kit supplied decals goes in after this..... :unsure:/>/>/> After toned down and dry brushed them, I'll move to the hull upper section. I managed to alter the side walls details considerably as Bandai molded them both as mirrored parts. The actual movie studio model has different details on each sidewalls. Still lots of weathering needed on the upper hull, the streaks and laser damage takes time to duplicate. Until more progress..cheers... :wave:/>/>/> Edited April 2, 2016 by jetplane
jetplane
Weathered the upper hull at last..! :rolleyes:/> A little more to work on the rear engine deck. Frontal shot.. Should be getting closer to decalling next...! Edited April 2, 2016 by jetplane
Jay Chladek
What will you use to seal in the pastel weathering streaks?
jetplane
Once decals and finishing touches are done...Flat clear will seal the model.... I am getting the shapeways 3D-parts to upgrade the model soon. Cheers
