Hi all,

I have no knowledge on riveting plastic models. No answers will be dumb .

Looking for some wisdom on riveting tools 1/48 1/32 scales . What do I need to start besides the dimo tape ?

Regards, Christian

Pick yourself up one of these, They work great for the larger scale stuff. There are different spacing on each wheel for different scales and whatnot. Had mine for ages, still works great.

You can pick it up at sprue brothers for 17 bucks.

Hope that helped!

I absolutely recommenend the RB tool. I have it and a Rosie. They both work beautifully, but with the Rosie you get one spacing for $20 and you get three with RB. Get you an extra x-acto handle.

I think with time you'll abandon the Dymo tape, but it's good to start. I mostly go freehand or with a strip of masking tape.

I have the Rivet-R Mini and I love it. Best riveter I've used.

I love Sprue Brothers, but it's a lot cheaper at Hobbyworld-USA.
