gtypecanare
Fresh from the spray booth my latest build. I used my iPhone to take these photos before a proper studio session. This was my first Star Wars Bandai kit and it was a nice fun build. All the paints I used were Tamiya and I did a lot of custom mixes using the instructions as a guideline for the ratios. Please let me know what I can improve for the my future Star Wars builds from Bandai. Thank you for looking!

gtypecanare
Here is my latest model I finished using Tamiya paints. The base color is a mixture of AS-20 Insignia White, AS-12 Bare Metal Silver and TS-6 Matt Black. The blue is a mix of XF-2 Flat White and XF-8 Flat Blue, the ratio is per instructions. For some of the dark gray areas I used XF-19 Sky Gray with a few drops of XF-1 Flat Black to color match the decals. On the canopy and intake I used AS-12 Bare Metal Silver. Exhaust were painted with TS-42 Lt. Gun Metal. All washed with Tamiya Panel Line Accent color, which caused a minor mishap with the plastic becoming brittle in the stress joints, next time I'll try a Flory Models wash. Very enjoyable kit and now have a "The Force Awaken" Tie Fighter next on the lineup, after I finish the 1/48th Tamiya F-16CJ ANG. Eagerly waiting for the release of Bandai's Poe's "Black Leader" X-wing. Please share any comments to help me improve and thank you for looking!
Andrew D. the Jolly Rogers guy
Speaking of these beautiful machines, did anyone else catch the glimpse of the X-Wing on the ramp at the base with an R5 droid head?

crackerjazz
Beautiful weathing! You mentioned the stress joints becoming brittle with the use of Panel Line Accent color -- did you notice any cracks?
K5054NZ
Great work, a real inspiration! The weathering looks perfect for an screen-used machine. I love it!
kellyF15
Are ther any side by side views with the T-65? I was just wondering about the size difference.

jbryan911
Speaking of these beautiful machines, did anyone else catch the glimpse of the X-Wing on the ramp at the base with an R5 droid head? When Poe shows up during the fight a Maz's cantina, he has a black R5 with him. There was a fairly clear side shot while they were flying over the water.

I have this one in the "To Do" pile but with all of these new Star Wars kits having been released and still being released it keeps getting pushed farther back in the pile... . Awesome job!
