modelmax
Hello gang. Been working on this sub for an ocean themed diorama group build with my local hobby club buddies. Essentially only the bow and part of the conning tower will be showing out of the water... this means that I'll have to make cuts to accommodate it to its base... you'll see what I mean when I get there. The sub is a "spare" sub I got with the purchase of another one here on ARC. parts had been butchered, so I had to do some repair of bow and center flood holes... it turned out decent so far. Other than the bow pressure hull top, everything else will be out of box. On to the pics. Got the resin pressure hull top kit from a buddy and made a 3D print out of it (For my own personal use only) seen here in black. Had to cover it and add the finish details with styrene as the print quality was pretty rough! Overall fit test... will start by cutting off stern! test fit of bow pressure hull and stern cut off. pressure hull in place. cut thru holes on bow deck. test fit bow deck overall test fit and some primer. Thanks for looking. Ernie A. Edited January 16, 2016 by modelmax
