peter havriluk
Folks, I decided to leave airplanes alone awhile and assemble one of the car kits in my stash - - - and the Edsel won the lottery. Rough instructions, no general advice. Seeing as this model has everything prepainted, I was curious about what to do with mating surfaces, and the instructions say nothing but to use cement good for styrene plastic. Good enough. But not a word about whether the finish needs to be cut back to bare plastic on mating surfaces. Or did they paint these with finishes that allow cement to burn through and join the parts anyway? That's a whole lot of trimming of paint.... Love to have an idea before I start. Much obliged.
MoFo
You'll need to scrape down to bare plastic.
