Lindberg Grumman Goose Whiffer

Recommended Posts

Well, after finishing zero kits last year, I'm ahead of the game this year.

First (and hopefully not last) for the year is Lindberg's OA-9 (USN designation, JRF) Goose. Mine is finished as a "what if" postwar Royal Netherlands Navy aircraft. The decals are from a couple of different donor sheets. The national insignia, the tail flash and the small "Kon Marine" markings are from an Aeromaster Sea Fury sheet. The "142" markings and the underwing "Kon Marine" lettering are from a Revell H-34 kit sheet. The red prop warning stripes are from a Hobbycraft Avia S.199 kit.

I did add a bulkhead in the aft cabin to prevent the see through effect. I also did the same behind the engines, a black painted plastic sheet disc to prevent seeing into the wing. Replaced the kit's main gear wheels with some from the spares box, P-47 I think.
